Shireen is a public health physician and longstanding advocate for maternal and child health. She has broad public health expertise, from communicable diseases and vaccine programs, to health systems development through work with charities in Southeast Asia. She brings skills including strategy, health policy and communications. She holds Masters of Public Health and Public Policy in addition to her medical degree and specialist qualification in Public Health Medicine. 

Shireen became involved with Little Sparklers through peer support work with The Beyond Sleep Training Project. She is motivated by the community need for infant sleep and feeding advice that respects children’s normal development, while supporting parents to flourish. As a mother, she wants to help ensure that all families can access up-to-date advice that is in keeping with their values.
